Description
  Supervisor
The Supervisor is the Chief Fiscal Officer of the town and the Chief Operating Officer for all Town Departments, with the exception of the Highway Department. He/she also sets the agenda for, (and serves as the Chair of) the Town Board, which is the legislative body of Town Government.

  Assessor
The Assessor's Office is responsible for the determining the value of properties for the assessment of property tax and it also administers subsidy programs, such as the Star Exemption and other programs.

  Town Clerk/Tax Collector
The Clerk's Office is responsible for recording the business of Town government and also serves as a repository for a wide variety of Town documents. In Marbletown the Town Clerk is also the Tax Collector and the Registrar of Vital Statistics.

  Highway Department
Maintains all town roads and bridges. The Highway Department is administered by the Highway Superintendent, who is an elected official, and is responsible for highway budgets and operations.

  Justice Court
Vehicle and Traffic Violations, Small Claims Court, Weddings.

  Building, Safety and Code Enforcement Permits are required for:
Anything structural, extension of plumbing & electric, solid fuel burning devices, ie: wood, coal & pellet stoves, please call to schedule all inspections.

Planning and Zoning   Department

The Planning and Zoning Department processes all applications for subdivisions, site plan approvals, special use permits, lot line adjustments, area and use variances, appeals, interpretations, questions regarding allowed uses of a property, wetland requirements and other related zoning questions. It also schedules the agendas of the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Approvals and renders technical/administrative assistance to applicants.



Youth and Recreation Department
The Youth and Recreation Department offers a wide range of programs, events, and activities for all ages and also oversees the operation of the Community Center and Town Park.

Description
Marbletown O & W Rail Trail Since the fall of 2009 the trail has been maintained and improved by the Marbletown Trails Committee, an all volunteer group of dedicated citizens who have already made substantial improvements by clearing, widening and cleaning up the trail.


Environmental Conservation Commission
As an advisory commission to the Town Board, the ECC investigates and researches a wide range on environmental issues and topics and makes recommendations to the Town Board and other town entities.

Historic Preservation Commission
Historic Preservation Commission members are appointed by the Town Board to advise the Town Board, the Planning Board, and the Building and Zoning Department on issues relating to the preservation of historic and cultural properties in Marbletown.

Planning Board
The Planning Board makes determinations on minor and major sub-divisions, lot line adjustments, site plans, and free standing sign applications.

Planning & Zoning Committee
The PZC serves in an advisory capacity to the Town Board and is authorized to research community planning and zoning issues and to make recommendations for legislative action to the Town Board.

Town Board
Legislative Branch of Town Government responsible for adopting Local Laws. It also makes appointments to other boards and committees, manages municipal employment policies and is responsible for town budgetary and financial matters.

Youth and Recreation Commission
The Commission meets monthly to research and study the needs and interests of the citizens of the Town of Marbletown, develop plans and programs to be run by the Commission, and evaluate programs to determine their effectiveness. The Commission maintains, equips and operates the Town Park and oversees the operation of the Community Center.

Marbletown Preservation & Investment Commission


The Marbletown Preservation and Investment Commission is charged with implementing the town's law that allows it to borrow funds in order to preserve open space.


Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals makes determinations on Special Use Permits, area and use variances, appeals and interpretations.
